Cloud Piping Designer

Create, view, and edit 3D piping designs entirely in your web browser. No installation required — works on any device, anywhere.

Overview

Cloud Piping Designer (CPD) is a browser-based 3D piping isometric design tool. Build piping networks by placing nodes and connecting them with elements — pipes, elbows, flanges, valves, reducers, and more. The 3D scene renders in real time using WebGL, with orbit controls for pan, zoom, and rotate.

Every design is revision controlled and stored securely in the cloud. Export to industry-standard PCF (IsoGen) or CII (Caesar II) formats, share via secure viewer links, and maintain a complete design history — all from your browser.

Key Features

3D Piping Design

Add nodes and elements — pipes, elbows, flanges, valves, reducers, bellows, couplings, instruments, and miscellaneous components. Real-time 3D visualization with orbit camera controls and zoom extends.

Pipe Supports

Attach supports to any node — Anchor, Rest, Guide, Line Stop, Spring Can, or Spring Hanger. Up to 6 supports per node, each with 3D visual representation and direction vectors.

Dual Revision System

Alpha mode (A, B, C...) for work-in-progress drafts. Promote to numeric mode (Rev 0, 1, 2...) for formal issued-for-construction documents. Full revision history with descriptions.

PCF & CII Export

Export to PCF (Piping Component File for IsoGen isometric drawings) or CII (Caesar II Input for pipe stress analysis). Includes materials list, wall thickness lookups, and support key mapping.

Screenshot Thumbnails

Auto-generated PNG thumbnails on every save. Displayed in the project index for quick visual identification of designs without opening each file.

Secure Sharing

Share read-only 3D viewers via signed URLs (7-day expiry). All editing tools are hidden in viewer mode. No account required for recipients.

How It Works

1
Build Your Model

Place nodes in 3D space and connect them with pipe elements. Add elbows by double-clicking nodes, insert supports, and configure sizes from DN50 to DN1050.

2
Save & Revise

Save your design with an auto-captured screenshot thumbnail. Create new revisions as your design evolves. Promote alpha drafts to formal numeric revisions.

3
Export & Share

Export to PCF for isometric drawings or CII for stress analysis. Share a read-only viewer link with your team or submit through the project workflow.

3D Engine

The design environment is powered by Three.js WebGL rendering with full orbital camera controls:

  • Element types: Pipe, Elbow (1D–5D radius), Flange, Valve, Reducer (Concentric, Eccentric Flat Top/Bottom), Bellow, Coupling, Instrument, Misc
  • Support types: Anchor, Rest, Guide, Line Stop, Spring Can, Spring Hanger — up to 6 per node
  • Node insertion: Double-click any pipe element to insert intermediate nodes (auto-splits the element)
  • Labels: Toggle overlays for Node ID, Element ID, Length, Diameter, and Bend Radius
  • Customization: Per-component color scheme, absolute coordinate system, node refresh from element data
  • Export: PCF (IsoGen) with SKEY support mapping, CII (Caesar II) with Schedule 80 wall thickness table
